Glider Tales
Book 1: Jumping Joeys!
Leo and Zik are two seven-year-old sugar gliders. They have been living a happy and quiet life with their human for their entire lives. One day, all of that quietness is suddenly interrupted when their human brings home something very noisy and hides it in their playroom. A couple weeks later, another cage appears next to theirs, and the source of the new noise turns out to be two little glider joeys!
At first, Leo and Zik are concerned as to what this could mean. Leo realizes that having little brothers might not be so bad, but Zik says that doesn’t want them around at all.
When the joeys go missing, however, Zik is the first to sound an alarm and begin the search. Together, Zik and Leo have to find the joeys, convince them to stay, and make it back to the cage, all before their human wakes up!
Book 2: Halloween Hysteria
October has arrived, and with it comes a host of new concerns for the little colony of sugar gliders.
This time around, the joeys Rufus and Yip have tumbled head-first into a world of scary monsters and evil creatures! Leo says everything is just decorations, but Zik has thrown himself into the spookiness of the season. When it seems like Zik, Leo, and their human Missy have been taken over by the evil creatures, the joeys don’t know where to turn! As days go by, Yip notices that even Rufus is starting to participate in the spooky antics and activities.
The frightening events reach a climax when Missy takes the sugar gliders to a Halloween party at her family’s house. There, Zik, Leo, and even Rufus are joining in the fun and making new creature-shaped friends. Yip, however, refuses to buy it all as fake. He runs off on his own during the party and finds whom he thinks is the leader of the evil creatures that have taken control of his friends.
It’s up to Yip to save the colony before it’s too late!
Book 3: Woodland Wonderland
A new night brings a new adventure for the sugar glider colony!
When the heating unit in their apartment breaks, the colony must spend the night at their old house. Leo and Zik are excited to see their old house and spend more time with Missy’s family. The joeys, however, are nervous about spending the night somewhere new. While exploring the house, they make their way outside and find themselves in the middle of a disagreement between the local wildlife families.
With winter on its way, most woodland animals store up food to last through the season. Unfortunately, someone has been taking more than their fair share! This has made other local residents of the woods start arguing, and soon there is not enough food to go around. The gliders must solve the mystery of the missing food, and convince the culprits to share with everyone, all before the sunrise!
Glider Tales 4: Momentous Move
The sugar glider colony is in for a big new change when they find out that their human has just bought a new house! Right when they all felt settled in to their apartment, they are uprooted and relocated to a house all their own. The house, however, already seems to have inhabitants living in the basement. When the sugar gliders investigate, they end up nose-to-nose with scary monsters. They need to save their human and secure the house for their colony!
Glider Tales 5: Rascally Remi
Big changes are on their way to the sugar glider colony!
Now that the colony has settled into their new house, their human Missy still feels that something is missing. The gliders catch her watching videos of other pets on her computer. Soon after, she starts coming home smelling like other animals and talking about puppies!
The gliders have mixed feelings. They want to be excited about a new sibling, but a dog is very different from a sugar glider. When Missy finally brings a puppy home, the gliders must teach it what its new role will be within the colony. Will the puppy be eager to learn, or will it simply take all of their human’s attention away?
